One game. Every shot.

Upload the game, every shot gets tagged, and the breakdown below is what comes back. This one is a sample with illustrative numbers, not a real goalie's.

Where they shot from

SaveGoal

Every shot is pinned where it was released and graded for danger, so a goal from the slot isn't weighed like a goal from the point.

Where the rebounds went

Glove 9 clean · 1 rebound
Blocker 4 good · 2 bad
Midsection 6 good
Pads & stick 5 good · 2 bad · 1 goal

ControlledRebound to dangerGoal

Rebound control is split by the part of the body that made the save, so you know whether to train the glove or the pads.

The verdict

Expected goals against 3.6
Goals allowed 2

+1.6 goals saved above expected, on a .935 save percentage against shots an average goalie stops at .884.

That's GSAx: the goals you allowed against what an average goalie allows on the same shots. It separates your game from your team's.

What goalies are saying

I’ve found this app super helpful for understanding my game beyond just goals against and save percentage. Being able to see stats like expected save percentage, rebound control, successful rims, and so many other breakdowns gives you a much better picture of how you actually played. It helps tell the full story behind your game and points out specific areas to focus on.

The stat that surprised me the most is the rebound control from different areas of your body. It helped me understand where I need to work on instead of guessing and just thinking everything needed to get better.

I like being able to see my stats broken down by game and identify specific areas I need to work on. It makes tracking my progress throughout the season a lot easier.

Questions

The things goalies, parents and coaches ask before they start. Anything else: goalieiqanalytics@gmail.com.

What does it cost?

New goalie accounts get their first game free. After that you buy games in packs, and each tracked game uses one:

  • 1 game$12
  • 5 games$50
  • 10 games$90

Goalie Plus adds AI Coach and an AI-written analysis in every game report, and covers up to 10 tracked games a month.

What film do I need?

The game video you already have, filmed on a phone or a camera. Full games are fine: uploads go up in parts and pick up where they left off if your connection drops, up to 20 GB per video.

Who tags the shots?

Every shot is tagged from your film by the GoalieIQ team, with AI doing a first pass on shot clips. Location, situation, shot type, release and rebound are all recorded, and any tag can be corrected.

Can my coach see my stats?

Yes, once your coach's account is connected to yours. A connected coach sees your games, stats and clips and can leave notes. Coaches never see goalies they aren't connected to.

Who can see my video?

Only you, a coach connected to you, and the GoalieIQ team. Videos are stored privately and played through links that expire.

Can I delete my data?

Yes. Deleting your account from the About tab permanently removes your profile, games, stats, notes and uploaded video, and cancels any subscription.
